Phantasy Award in Drama Short Film Festival.
Philosophy prophets the Greek crisis 15 years earlier than it happened.
With a vitriolic humor and a sense of absurd, the film scratches under the surface of Greek society of the 90s. In Drama Short Film Festival 1993, gained the Phantasy Award. Some yeras later, this phantasy was a reality.
synopsis
After Sarayevo, the wars in Balkans are expanding, touching Athens. The economy of the country collapses. A strange word appears on the walls of the city. Philosophy! But the adjuster is still working in the ruins. When the President announces state's bail out and suggests "Philosophy" as the only activity, everything changes.
director's comment
My first short film was a social comment, miimal and sarcastic. The three characters are an adjuster, a new poor, a freak. Guest star is the President, appearing through the tv. Shot in just one day and a half in two locations in Athens downtown, describes a dystopian city that collapses.
