Three Days Happiness
The blue, the color of melancholy and sorrow, dyes this film that follows with
Bressonian precision the evasion attempts of three young women in a decadent
Athens.
Irina is about to flee to Canada, fleeing from the "family" that forces her
to work as a prostitute. Anna is about to get married, in an attempt to escape
form the ghost of her broken family. Vera, who starts a new life, collides with a
devastating family secret. The paths of the three young women will finally
converge leading to a violent entry into maturity.
A study on morality (or its absence) and on human relations in the Bergman line,
with all parts of a country in deep crisis.
