MEDEA, Τhe immense grandeur of the human condition

Dimitris Athanitis gives us this tragedy on the big screen, in a way that is both simple and magnificent at the same time.
The director illuminates, in his own way, a great tragic heroine within the insurmountable grandeur of the natural landscapes, which co-sign the tragic outcome and parallel the psyche of the heroine (Alexandra Kazazou).
The invisible that the woman conceives as a procreative nature is not subject to human beliefs that demand compromise.
Medea as a symbol is the very nature that gives birth and that fatally takes back into its bosom its offspring. And this is also excellently given to us by the director and the protagonist.
Very interesting is that in the cinematic flow of the film, the outcome is not predetermined from the beginning (based on the director's perspective).
Medea of Athanitis, searches until the end, for redemption, for salvation, but is inevitably led to destruction as a fatal outcome as determined by tragedy and the unwritten laws of nature. This is the human condition, which the director sympathizes with and justifies.
