One of the most important Greek films of the last decade

Mainly a film of directing and acting. The narrative, surprising in simplicity, shines through the torturous, iconic, and in a fine way revolutionary direction of a filmmaker who is a witness of his times.
Elie Castiel, Sequences
Grand Award at Figueira Film Art, 15 international awards.
40 festivals. 6 main Greek Film Academy Nominations.
17 weeks at the Athens theaters, screening at 35 Greek cities.
synopsis
Aris is suddenly fired from the factory where he works. Feeling a victim, he becomes step by step obsessed by the idea to take justice in his hands. He is ready to proceed with his goal, when his ex-wife appears unexpectedly, leaving their little son to him.
director’s comment
Invisible is a film about someone who after been fired looses his place in society and becomes invisible. It is a film about a kid invisible in the world of adults. It is a film about a whole world being invisible.
Aris is someone who fights for his right to exist, to be visible. He decides to take justice in his own hands reacting to unjustice and the irrational that drives his life.
Although the film has a pure realistic base at a first view, at the same time this view crosses boundaries to fantasy. We follow Aris’s actions but also, with the camera stuck on him, we are sinking into his head. Step by step, the invisible turns to visible
Invisible is a drama of a man but it is also a tragedy, driving to a modern catharsis.
