Addio Berlin is a cult film in Greek cinematography. Trully indepedent and the first ever cinephile Greek movie, brought a sharp "innovating view in Greek cinema" as the Jury of Thessaloniki Film Festival explained by giving Athanitis the Jury's Prize.

synopsis
Alex, a Greek film director in Berlin, tries to shoot his first film, entitled "Addio Berlin". He is completely disappointed as his script is rejected when a mysterious Greek producer appears offering to finance the project. Alex arrives to Athens to meet him and finds himself involved in a strange situation.

director's comment
Addio Berlin is a film on cinema, on film making but also a film on Athens, on father-son relationship. It is an absolutely cinephile film, with numerous references and a great sarcasm for all these. It is not by chance that I kept for myself the part of the killer of the director Alex, the hero of the film.
